Recent Investments: Introduction

A continuous flow of investment

St Regis is part of DS Smith Plc and the financial strength of our Group means we can invest continuously in all of our papermaking facilities.

The largest recent investment by far is the K6 project at Kemsley Mill which has provided customers with the first ever UK based production of lightweight CCM papers.

Other investments at Kemsley have seen improvements to PM3, which makes plasterboard liner and installation of new pulping lines, C and D.

At Wansbrough, investment has been made in PM5 machine which backs up Kemsley in the production of plasterboard liner.

At Hollins a duoshake unit was fitted along with a new calendar in 2005 in order to improve product profile and smoothness.
