Plasterboard Liner

Kemsley Mill is one of Europe’s leading sites for the manufacture of 100% recycled plasterboard liners with an annual production of up to 300,000 tonnes. Plasterboard liner is a technically demanding product that must perform well to ensure the finished plasterboard is perfectly flat and free of visual defects.

A sophisticated pulping and fractionation process turns carefully graded waste paper into a high quality pulp. The resulting plasterboard liner has specific properties, including:

  • The ability to expand within just the right tensile and cross directional parameters
  • A consistent colour
  • Low cost drying capability during plasterboard manufacture
  • Reliable performance on the plasterboard machine
  • A perfect surface for plaster without any fear of shelling

St Regis makes plasterboard liner in a full range of grammages (up to 240 gsm) and many colours, including grey and ivory.

Recent investments of over £30 M which have included three new headboxes and two state-of-the-art pulping lines have helped to establish St Regis as a leading European producer of plasterboard liner.

For plasterboard manufacturers in the UK or Europe who want a high quality liner with strong environmental credentials, St Regis is the ideal supplier.
